The company commenced business on 30th September 2005 with the purchase of business assets from Rimman International Sdn. Bhd., a company which previously published a series of Rimman/UBD Kuala Lumpur & Klang Valley Street Directory. From a pioneering staff of 28, Navi & Map has steadily grown to over 130 people as of September 2007. As Malaysia’s fully integrated mapping data provider, the company produces and publishes GPS-referenced maps in various formats for diverse applications. The company’s mapping capabilities is better-known publicly in the range of printed maps it produces, which includes street-level folded maps and the well-accepted Kuala Lumpur & Klang Valley Street Directory. These street-level maps are unrivaled in detail, providing up to street and house number information. Navi & Map also publishes maps for geographical information systems (GIS), business intelligence solutions, on-line map portals, tracking services and navigation systems. Its comprehensive maps are accessed and used in many ways by government agencies, businesses, and online users. Navi & Map has forged strong technical partnerships with leading map companies such as Zenrin. Co. Ltd., Universal Publishers Pty. Ltd. and Multimap. These partnerships enable mutually beneficial technical and knowledge collaborations, and have enabled Navi & Map to provide a diverse range of mapping services and applications. With carnavi®, the company's brand name for in-car navigation products, rich information contained in maps are now accessible at the driver’s fingertips. Navi & Map brings its street-level mapping expertise to cars, enabling drivers to find their way and get to their destination safely. Navi & Map has been recognized as an MSC-Status company for its research and development work in navigation systems, and has received an ISO 9001 certification for sales, marketing and after-sales service of car navigation systems. |
